Ghost, Wine and Forever

This book is a compilation of a short story; Enchantment and Bridge of Dreams. This is among books that sparks Christina Skye's fame as a romance novelist in the Draycott's series. But the book is considered out-of-print and only recently being printed as a 2-1 book.

The first story is about K.C. "Kacey" Mallory, who is an art restorer who specialized in restoring old potret. She received an invitation from Draycott Abey about a James Whistler's painting which was saved from destruction and hidden for years until its discovery by the current Lord Draycott. Lord Nicholas Draycott, who was threatened by random threat which follows him after 7-years captivity as a hostage in Thailand, was worried with recent events that happen to him and to the Abbey. Kacey's appearance give him doubts of her resume authenticity and after being interrogated rather heatedly by him, Kacey tried to distance herself from the earl but the temptation of the genuine Whistler and the threat from unknown forced her to stay with him and visions of both of them in different times gave a scare to both of them.

In this story, we are introduced with a cat called Gideon and the famous ghost of the abbey, Lord Adrian Draycott and who also Nicholas's twin brother in both their past life and in recent times although he lived fairly short when he was reborn again. With Kacey existed in the house, he was relentlessly try to convince her that Nicholas deserve the chance in their love as a retribution of Adrian's wrong doing that cause a tragedy to their past lives.

Well... not to spoil the story, the book is fairly long for a short story and a bit soft smutty but it is enjoyable to read and I know its too short but don't worry, this cute couple exist in every book of the Draycott's series.


The second book is called Bridge of Dreams. The story began with Gabriel Monserrat, 5th earl of Ashton leaving a bequest to his decendent in Draycott Abbey's wine cellar and his body was found 200 years later with a cask of Chateau d'Yquem 1792, which worth atleast a millon pound today. Dominic Monserrat, the 10th Earl of Ashton who is also an ex-Royal bodyguard and secretly a wine maker of La Trouvaille and had been called by Nicholas about the bequest of the wine and that his Mad Uncle Gabriel had given it to his decendant and to Geneva Russell's decendent; as man and wife. Caithlin O'Neil was trully against coming to the Abbey as her mother had died in a questionable manner when she was ten years old. But with her life endangered as well as Domonic's and they were forced to take refuge to the Abbey.



The book tell a story of a woman and a man in pain. With their darker past lifes and the dark attraction they have for each other. The novel prove to be a good read even though some parts of the story is rather compromised with variable. But keep in mind, that there's a series of Draycott's legacy to follow, apparently, my second sister had bought Christina Skye's A Perfect Gift and I happen to read it when I was 13 and it make me hooked to romance novels eversince, lol.

But most of all, look forward for more Adrian Draycott and Gideon. Meow...
